With the trendy renaissance sweeping across Melbourne’s inner West, this site provided an opportunity to create a new building, a new product, a new style, a new form and a new palette. With an asymmetrical design, the front facade is still balanced with diagonally opposing colours and finishes.
Drawing on sensible design elements taken from the Bauhaus style, the proposed building will create something that is rarely seen: The designs minimise circulation space to make the most of the floor area allowing a ground floor that includes an Office / retreat area, large open plan living / meals / kitchen and good size rear deck and outdoor area. The first floor includes a master suite plus three bedrooms, providing each townhouse with a total yield of 5 rooms each!
With the abundance of space, these buildings will provide a great new living experience for any growing family, nestled amongst many traditional 3 bedroom homes.
