A creative approach to this underutilised infill site has allowed us to maximise its potential with eight modern two and three bedroom townhouses.
The incorporation of innovative construction methods has allowed the creation of multipurpose living spaces; bifold glass doors open up the private terraces to bring the outdoors inside whilst ground floor bedrooms are designed to create flexible office spaces if desired.
The Bauhaus aesthetic provides a respectful nod to the site’s commercial heritage whilst also being sympathetic to the varied construction types already in the street. A rapidly gentrifying area, Coburg is currently undergoing a vast change from the traditional workman’s cottages and bungalows and it was imperative that this project represents both the old and new faces of the suburb.
