A triumph of small lot subdivision planning, born of a local icon
This small lot subdivision project began with the partial refurbishment of the commercial shopfront of an iconic local barber. The eclectically-designed shopfront was in good condition, but the area behind was significantly worn down.
The final design assimilated the existing shopfront structure with two 3-bedroom dwellings built on the remaining land behind. The finished product is an exceptional example of a small lot subdivision wherein we used 95% of the available land, while creating a softened facade activation to the adjoining street and laneway.
