Behind this unhealthy obsession is big e; a self-professed property nerd who has a passion for the small footprint ethos of designing your home to harness the space it utilises, not the space it wastes. Rather than developing healthy hobbies such as football or friends, big e spends his weekends researching new building materials or techniques that can yield higher efficiency in the use of space. In a quest to develop cost efficient designs that are both thoughtful and thought provoking, few things get him more excited than multipurpose objects or spaces. The projects to date have ranged from compact apartment renovations to spacious stately homes and majestic beachside villas, all following the philosophy whereby function and form must meet in equilibrium.
e+mc2 is a design and development firm born from an obsession with all things related to the building of buildings and the business of business.

"Received our planning permit for our townhouse development in Kew much faster than ever thought possible. Looking forward to working together on future projects." - Steve
"The team at e+mc2 have been wonderful to work with through the whole process of design and town planning. Sylvio embraced our concepts for our town house project and worked with us to create an end product that definitely exceeded our expectations. He was always willing to listen and incorporate our suggestions, whilst guiding us with his own expertise. The town planning process was extremely smooth and council embraced our designs. We would highly recommend Sylvio and his team if you are looking for a company that is highly skilled and able to take care of all aspects of your project in a calm, professional and systematic manner." - Rachel
"I engaged e+mc2 after having a negative experience with another consultancy firm, whereby I received a design response that did not meet the local council planning policies nor the relevant building regulations. With the design, finance and construction advice provided, the team was able to create a response to the site constraints that was both profitable and aesthetically attractive. It was refreshing to work with E+MC2 and we are now working on our 3rd project together and are looking forward to further success." - Rob
ST KILDA TESTIMONIAL,
"After working with a number of design and investment consultancy firms over time it was refreshing to work with E+MC2. They are knowledgeable in the requirements of different councils, provide thorough, thoughtful designs that maximise space and light and provide the flexibility and responsiveness that is often hard to find. From the successful completion of this project, I have since engaged the firm to complete a further 5 development projects. I have no hesitation in recommending E+MC2 and intend to engage them for my future development projects." - Daryl
"We engaged E+MC2 to complete the drawings to the building permit approval stages of 2 modern townhouses. I found the team knowledgeable in the council approval processes and the drawings were of a great standard with attention to detail and efficient use of space and building materials. During this process, the team was responsive, hard working, flexible and timely to our queries, many instances going above and beyond our expectations - a general pleasure to deal with. I feel that the team had shown great initiative throughout this process and are results driven on our behalf, which made the process a lot easier for us. Would definitely engage E+MC2 again for other projects." - Elsa & Brian
"We challenged e+mc2 to value-add our home by creating an addition which maintained the integrity of the existing structure, as well as creating an exciting visual dimension which gave an uninterrupted connection with the outside. The result was beyond our expectations and right on budget. The design was innovative and very clever in its simplicity, and created a visual space concept way more than the limited physical space they had to work with. There were minor adjustments made during the build that tweaked the design & gave it unexpected finesse. The success of this project was the result of very good communication between designer, builder & owner. Since the completion of the project, the Director has provided advice on other development projects on our behalf." - Steve & Bennie
